Today cdr-zone got hold of a beta copy of the new DVDXCopyExpress, which is 321 studios new software for DVD9 to DVD5 transcoding. It features a modern looking GUI and simple 3 click operation, and gives the user a movie only + one subtitle copy of the original movie they own.

321 studios have also started to implement the VSO burning engine as used in CopyToDVD.

First impressions of this software are how quickly it rips and transcode ( very similar to DVDShrink ), but as it is a movie only copy, the quality is very acceptable and from start to finish on my XP1800+, 1GB DDR Ram, a 7.GB movie took 20 minutes to go from DVD in drive to the Burning stage.
