Targeting graphics professionals, Maxtor on Tuesday will release a new version of its external hard drive with one-touch backup capability.
The upgraded product comes in a sleek aluminum casing, with new features such as expanded system backup, the ability to launch applications with the drives main button and retooled power management.
Dubbed Maxtor OneTouch, the family of drives will make it easier for people to do the wise but oft-ignored task of backing up their computer, said Paul Streit, Maxtor manager for personal storage marketing. "Most people dont get around to doing it," Streit said. "People tend to find it cumbersome."
