Thermaltake

08/2003: Taipei, Taiwan - Following Thermaltakes very successful launch of Xaser II and Xaser III Series Super Tower PC Chassis, Xaser III Series - Skull Edition mid-tower is officially released today with details on main features and applications.

The latest Xaser III Series - Skull Edition will be a mid-tower chassis with (6) 5.25" drive bays, (2) exposed 3.5" drive bays and (3) hidden 3.5" drive bays. Making it one of the most versatile chassis in its class. While smaller in size comparing to its big brother, Skull Edition will retain several unique traits such as front accessible fan speed controllers, front USB 2.0 & Firewire ports, E-LED logos, backlighted LCD temperature display and more.

The design of the latest Xaser III chassis enables users to install all PC components such as motherboard, CD-ROM, floppy drive and more without tools. Motherboard can be fitted and secured onto the chassis using Thermaltakes innovative Snap-on Spacers, which eliminates any use of screwdriver.

With high-performance systems getting hotter. New 3Ghz CPUs emit much more heat than the earlier and slower siblings. After long period of testing and analyzing, Thermaltake engineered the most efficient method to properly remove heat from its source. Four fans are strategically positioned for maximum airflow and to maintain healthy air circulation within the case: (1) left side 80mm intake fan, (1) right side 80mm intake fan and (2) rear 80mm exhaust fans.

In the past, enthusiasts who wish to show off the inside of their computer have to sacrifice EMI Shielding through the use of plexiglass. Xaser III - Skull Edition now utilizes a honeycomb style side window that is both highly transparent and EMI shielded.

Thermaltake wishes to bring fun and easy-of-use into building your very own personal computer. With the release of Xaser III - Skull Edition, I think we made a strong leap towards that goal" commented Kenny Lin, Thermaltake Technology President.

Xaser III - Skull Edition will be available in October 2003 worldwide. Please www.thermaltake.com for detail specification and future updates.
