Anyone that has ever used a playstation pad will think they are great, but I long ago stopped using my playstation and haven’t touched a console in a while, I much prefer the game play and graphics of PC games, but a keyboard just doesn’t cut it on driving games. So I set about converting my playstation pad to work on a PC, there is several converters that cost around £6 to £15 being a student in search of a part time job I am reluctant to spend the money and its more satisfying to do the mod your self. I researched how this mod could be done, their was several sites but they where confusing and didn’t show the cheapest way to perform the mod. It is possible to use the +5v from a LPT port to power the game pad but this requires purchasing diodes so you don’t blow your port up, a much cheaper and easier way is to get the 5v from a molex connector, if you’re a modder you will most defiantly find a few of these under your desk or on a old fan etc. Also the other part you will need is a DB-25 connector; these can be brought for about £2 or if you are feeling cheap you can get them off the end of an old printer cable.
