Motherboard manufacturer Aopen this morning bucked the current trend among manufacturers, who arent particularly happy with the stability of the nForce3 chipset. Aopen told the INQ this morning that it was pushing nForce3 as their preferred platform, since it believed Nvidia offered better performance than the Via K8 platform.
Meanwhile, an Nvidia exec was recently heard to be fuming at his Abit counterpart after Abit decided to halt production of its nForce3 board, claiming compatibility issues. Despite this, Nvidia was displaying the board in its exclusive out-of-town hotel suite, causing murmurs of amusement among press in the know.
