Software: Create your own bitmaps to replace the default Internet Explorer stuff!
Posted on Friday, May 02 @ 13:28:21 CEST by ubik

General

How to make your own IE animated bitmaps, we have a guide to do it for your self...

Here are the rules:

IE uses two different sizes:

1) Large -displayed when not in full screen mode
2) Small - used when in full screen mode

To create a bitmap, follow these steps:
For the large image, create a new bitmap that is 38 pixels wide. The height depends on how many frames you want to include. Frames are 38x38. For decent animation, include at least 8 frames (which would necessitate a height of 304 pixels). Use the included bitmaps as a guide.

The small image is the same format except it must be 22 pixels in width (22x22 per frame)

How to insert them:

Go to " start menu" the click on " run " type " gpedit.msc " and hit enter.

you come then in a menu, click on " users configuration " second on " Windows Setting" then on " Internet Explorer Maintenance " and then " Browser User Interface ",

you see three options,

  • Browser Title: For chancing browser name ,
  • Custom Logo: To change your animated IE bitmap,
  • Browser Toolbar Customizations: To change background from toolbars and more
We are going now to " Costom Logo ", and see there two options, fro a non animated logo and a animated logo, here you can open your creation and then you see it for your self.....
