MSI

Please find here some more backgroundinformation about MSI Corecell CHIP and MSI D.O.T Technology: two unique innovations from MSI that really deserve some extra attention.

MSI Corecell CHIP is the CHIP for Dynamic Overclocking introduced with the MSI 875P and 865PE series. It brings 4 major innovative features: Speedster Technology, BuzzFree Technology, PowerPro Technology and LifePro Technology.

Speedster technology:
contains most flexible BIOS options for overclocking, including async mode of FSB and memory frequency, 0.05V increment for memory voltage adjustment and the minimal increment of 0.0125V for Vcore.

BuzzFree technology:
examines current system utilization and temperature before leveraging thermal requirement & fan speed -- dramatically cut up to 50% of system noise, reduce the annoying buzz and improve the quality of audio and video application. PowerPro technology:
a power management solution, which helps to moderate power consumption up to 67%, to assure motherboard stability and to enhance overclocking capability. LifePro technology:
prolongs motherboard, CPU and system fan life by monitoring their operations, which eliminates the possible system crash.

MSI D.O.T Technology is a new function comprised in the MSI's newly developed Corecell Technology. It is designed to detect the load balance of CPU while proceeding programs and to adjust the best CPU frequency automatically.

What is the Dynamic Overclocking Technology? Many mobo users must feel curious about this question. Dynamic Overclocking Technology, in simple words, is the automatic overclocking function, comprised in the MSI™'s newly developed CoreCell™ Technology. It is designed to detect the load balance of CPU while proceeding programs, and to adjust the best CPU frequency automatically. When the motherboard detects CPU is running programs, it will speed up CPU automatically to make the program running smoothly and faster. When the CPU is temporarily suspending or staying in the low load balance, it will restore the default settings instead. Apparently, the Dynamic Overclocking Technology will be powered only when users' PC needing to run huge amount of data like 3D games or the video process, and the CPU frequency needing to be boost up to enhance the overall performance. On the contrary, when your PC stays in the normal status such as surfing on the Internet or doing hard drive defragment, CPU will remain the original speed without overclocking.

The advantage of Dynamic Overclocking Technology is that the system will help you to set an overclocking environment in advance, avoid of unnecessary risk, and save the time for manually adjustment. Spending much time and efforts on testing and experimenting, the CPU overclocking range of MSI™'s Dynamic Overclocking Technology is fairly reasonable and acceptable compared with the CPU in the market. Besides, the Dynamic Overclocking Technology appears to be more stable than the manual overclocking because after users overclock manually, the PC would stay in the overclocking status always which means it would also cost much electricity and might shorten the life of computers. However, by using MSI™'s Dynamic Overclocking Technology, you don't need to worry about this problem anymore.
